Såhär tycker Stella McCartney om den oansvariga fast-fashion industrin och modevärldens påverkan på miljön;

”First and formost I am a fashion designer and I studied to be a fashion designer. I believe in luxury, beauty and desirability. I think there is this kind of thought process when it comes to sustainable fashion, that you’re sacrificing all of those things in order to be more responsible in the way you purchase - and the product itself will be compromised. And so I completely challenge that. I really believe that I can make as beautiful, if not more beautiful products, but not in a way that is harmful for the planet. So, it’s doable, I think I’m creating great things. Women want to wear my clothes, they want the pieces and the products. Why doesn’t every other house open their minds and push themselves. I think every industry has to be pushed and it has to be answerable to how its manufacturing and producing the products - when it comes to this the fashion industry shouldn’t be different from any other.” / S.M.
